How to deal with COVID-19 when you are over 65
I have the symptoms

What to do with symptoms

Stay at home

First stay at home unless your symptoms are very severe, such as difficulty with breathing, continuous coughing and feeling very confused.  If they are severe then you or someone with you should immediately call your doctor or emergency service for help.

Keep away from other people

When at home with symptoms stay away from everyone if you possibly can.  You do not want people who may have to look after you catching the infection.

Call your doctor for advice

If your symptoms are not severe but you are certain that they are real or know that you have been previously exposed to the infection, then call your doctor and ask for advice.  The options may be to admit you to hospital depending on your condition and local circumstances or following a home assessment the decision may be to keep you at home with appropriate care. Do not drive to a hospital nor take a taxi or public transport. If you have no doctor, call the Emergency Room or urgent care facility closest to you and let them know that you are concerned you might have COVID-19.
